Call for entries: Domeble Symetri Student Awards 2023

The Domeble Symetri Student Awards recognises skilled young people, who are studying at a College or University level in 3D design and Photography, the awards allow them to be guided by professionals in these fields and help establish them in the field. The aim of the awards is to encourage young people on a global scale explore their innovativeness, by giving them introduction to the best resources to help with their skillset.

London, March 2023: As the Domeble Symetri Student Awards competition (DSSA) celebrates its third successful year, the call is out for entries. Over £50,000 in prizes is up for grabs. The awards are designed to give 3D, CGI, VR/AR, and photography students an opportunity to showcase their creativity, originality, and innovation and to launch their careers. With a flourish.

Domeble and Symetri are leaders in cutting-edge creative 3D visualisation and immersive technologies for the automotive industry. Education is pivotally important in ensuring the constant flow of fresh talent, ideas, and skills, not just to maintain the pace of innovation, but to accelerate it. The awards recognise that students are equally important since the future is in their hands.

Key dates for entries

  • Online entry is now open. Deadline for receipt of entries is 12.00 noon, Friday 28th July 2023. No extension is available. International entries are accepted.
  • Entrants must be studying 3D, CGI and VR/AR during the academic year 2022/23.
  • Entrants will be notified of the Judges’ decision by email by 11th August 2023, and finalists will be invited to the awards ceremony, when the winners will be announced, on Thursday 7th September 2023.

The awards ceremony brings together students and lecturers, from universities and colleges across the UK. It will be a chance to meet your peers as well as leading industry professionals from the worlds of 3D Design and Photography.

On the significance of the awards, Carl Lyttle, Domeble Founder and Nick John, Industrial Design and Visualisation Manager at Symetri explain,

“The celebration of talent and creativity is not just great for the award winners but is also a showcase of innovation that everybody can gain ideas and insights from to add even more depth and value to their own work.
