Planning high voltage networks

Fiksu Overhead Powerlines is developed for placement planning of high voltage pylons over a underlay map. The length of the planned network can be tens of kilometers. The plan can be presented over a terrain model, so that location and lining of the high voltage network is clear and visual for various stakeholders, such as land owners.

The application includes versatile calculation and simulation features, such as calculation of the effect of ice and wind loads. Profile and section views of the network are produced automatically in order to facilitate examination of the safety distances between lines and terrain features. Changes in plot plans are updated automatically with length and cross section drawings. Likewise, a change of a pylon location in the longitudinal section is instantly visible in the plot plan and the cross section drawing.
