This AutoCAD Electrical essentials course teaches you the production of Electrical Schematic Drawing, Bill of Materials in various formats, Connection List reports, and other associated reports using AutoCAD Electrical. You will create at least one project from a blank starting point and include during this project the generation of new symbol elements.

Course content for AutoCAD Electrical Essentials

  • An Overview of AutoCAD Electrical and the user interface 
  • Learn how to start a new project, including a look at project record card's defining numbering 
  • Understand how to start a new drawing, including a look at drawing records card's defining drawing type. 
  • Learn how to define Installation and Location codes 
  • Master the drawing of single-phase and multi-phase wires 
  • Discover how to Insert symbols and function of components, including numbering of wires/components. 
  • Learn how to cross-reference components 
  • Understand how to assign catalogue and record information to items in the projects, including creating new record/catalogues 
  • Learn how to create panel layouts and create and test new symbols 
  • View the reports generated by AutoCAD Electrical
