Lawrence Hooker

Lawrence has over 30+ years of experience in the design and construction industry with a focus in the engineering and manufacturing sectors. He has successfully delivered many implementation projects for a number of clients across the UK including Arup, Halcrow, Mott MacDonald, Shell UK and Skanska, to name only a few.

Steven Lovell

As a design professional, I have used AutoCAD for over twenty-five years since release 13. Having graduated from Leeds Polytechnic with a degree in Three Dimensional Design and a specialism in Furniture Design I worked as a freelance furniture designer where I gained valuable knowledge and practical experience. I have been delivering training as an Autodesk Approved Instructor since 1998 as the Built Environment Solutions Trainer formally for Cadassist Ltd and more recently for Symetri Ltd. Between 2005 and 2013 I held the position of CAD Manager for Blackpool Councils Central Seawall Project, which was awarded the prestigious Brunel Award. As a Senior BIM Consultant for Symetri Ltd, I specialise in delivering training within AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, Revit MEP and 3ds Max.

Dave Bosworth

As a Civil Engineering Surveyor, Dave worked for many years on construction projects across the UK where he gained unique experiences in the use of design technology in both infrastructure engineering and GIS/mapping.

Paul Grimston

Spending his formative years as an Architectural Technician, followed by a stint in the Exhibition and Graphics industry, Paul has worked for many years on design projects across the UK where he gained diverse experience in the use of design technology in all areas of design. A benefit of Paul’s graphics experience is knowledge of visualisation and presentation techniques that take advantage of the latest 3D modelling software.

Bettool Jabur

Bettool is a Naviate Technology Manager for Architecture at Symetri. She has been in the Architectural Technology industry for 10 years, working on a range of projects, from elaborate sports arenas, educational establishments, through to large and small scale residential projects. Her knowledge and expertise of being a BIM Manager has led to her passion for improving the way we produce work and collaborate within the AEC industry and it has led to her drive in becoming an Autodesk Certified Instructor and an expert user in Autodesk Revit, BIM 360 & Naviate Architecture. Bettool conducts knowledge gap analysis for companies and provides consulting, mentoring and training to clients, using tools such as Revit and BIM 360 to enable them to design, coordinate, collaborate, manage and make the most from their BIM data.

Daryn Fitz

Daryn has worked within the construction sector for over 35 years, providing extensive experience in the management, application and integration of Digital Information Technologies within Design Consultant, Main Contractor, Developer and Employer Organisations. Today, Daryn is predominantly an advisor to Employer Organisations, provides Information Management services directly, leads the LRQA (previously Lloyds Register) BIM | ISO 19650 Accreditation scheme on behalf of Symetri, is an Associate Lecturer at Middlesex University supporting its MSc BIM Management programme, guest lecturers at other Universities and is currently researching a PhD in Data Quality within the Construction Sector. As an educator Daryn is known for his pragmatic and impartial approach, building on and reinforcing concepts by using real-world application and examples.

Rob Clark

From his original career working in the Structural, Architectural and Civil profession working in partnership with many major UK AEC firms including Atkins Global, Buro Happold and AKT II, Rob has developed practical skills and diverse knowledge of best practice, protocols and procedures. Rob prides himself on being able to look at the individual BIM process requirements of an organisation and offer a fully bespoke solution. After all, “all BIM implementations are unique”.

Julian Jones

Working in the construction industry for over 25 years, Julian has extensive experience in the creation, maintenance and distribution of design related information throughout the design, costing and construction teams. This allows Julian to work effectively with clients in order to determine the best working methods and solutions for their DMS implementation.

Enrique Barriuso

A qualified CEng MSpICE Civil Engineer with over 7+ years post graduate experience. Enrique graduated with a Master's in Civil Engineering, which covered a wide variety of subjects in the fields of transport, structural analysis, geotechnical design, coastal, water and environmental engineering. Enrique joined in 2015 and is an Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD Civil 3D, subsequently helped many clients resolve their Civil 3D problems. He provides training in Civil 3D, AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Geoff Alder

Geoff Alder has been training Autodesk applications for 25 years. He came into training from practical experience in the building industry. He has designed and carried out technical training all over the world. Geoff is a particularly dedicated trainer on 3D applications and has won awards from Autodesk for training on 3ds max.

Bianca Garibay

Bianca comes to the support team with an Interior Design Technology degree from Miami. She has always carried a passion for creating spaces and the unseen effort it takes to achieve the final expression. Bianca has been with Symetri for over a year and continues to build on her skill sets. She supports our customers in not only Revit, but BIM 360 Design, AutoCAD, and Sketchup. Her positive attitude is always willing to help and enjoys learning new things on the job.

Andrew Langton

Andrew joined us in 2018 as an Applications Engineer. He gained his HNC in Building Studies whilst working for a leading Architectural Practice in the midlands. For 15 years prior to joining us, he was a CAD Manager/IT Support Technician working closely with the IT manager. This unique role and technical background enabled Andrew to balance the requirements of Information Systems, CAD Management, Architects and Technicians. His experience in Software Licensing, Compliance and Deployment Strategies in both Physical Workstation and Virtual Machine environments help him to support our partners through the decision making process.

Sharan Singh

A CAD support engineer since March 2018, Sharan has experience and professional certification using Revit. Her background in the architecture and construction industry lends itself to her knowledge of Autodesk's AutoCAD, Navisworks, Trimble's SketchUp and our own document management system Excitech DOCS. Sharan has taken responsibility for the implementation and support for Autodesk BIM360 Cloud services for a range of different size organisations and projects, both domestic and international. She has also provided bespoke and effective Revit elbow support to clients both on-site and off-site to guide clients through their requirements on the software.

Paul Thurgood

After training as an Architectural Technician, Paul moved into the Autodesk Reseller Channel, installing, supporting and training customers using Autodesk products across AEC, Mechanical Design and Data Management industry sectors. With over 25 years of experience, Paul helps businesses create project documentation in a controlled environment, providing great search facilities, clarity on documentation status, and the necessary availability to ensure the building, product or process is created on time.

Steve Rudge

Working in a multi-disciplined design and build environment for 24+ years, Steve has vast knowledge of the problems that will be encountered on projects of all sizes, and provides suitable solutions. Steve’s main expertise lies in the design, construction and management workflow of information and technology requirements to ensure a project meets the full requirements and data is reused through the delivery. Steve acts as the Project BIM manager and information manager for our clients and helps them de-risk and deliver the project to meet the full defined requirements.

Tom Rudge

Whilst working onsite for several years, Tom gained his experience in Site Engineering and Management. He worked as a main contractor, guiding supply chain partners on day-to-day site delivery activities. It’s this very background that Tom brings to the consultant delivery team, allowing Symetri’s clients to benefit from his knowledge of new BIM processes and technology. To further increase his skill set, Tom has gained a MSc degree in BIM and Digital Built Environments to help bring more ideas to the construction division. Tom has a passion that envisions the future of construction going digital and believes technology will play a large part of daily site activities not too far in the future.

Nick Simpson

With over 42+ years in the industry Nick’s primary expertise is centred around MEP design, detailing, design management, on-site construction management and O&M handover. Other specialist skills include CAD, BIM, digital fabrication, office to field instrumentation, DFMA, lean and many emerging digital formats and data schemas. In addition, he has previously managed a CAD team within a Civil Engineering Consultancy and set up a remote intelligent 3D modelling capability in the subcontinent. 

Rob Torres

An accomplished Mechanical Engineer, Rob Torres has extensive experience across the full spectrum of MEP consulting and contracting. Having worked for one of the largest and most respected contractors and developers Rob offers a rare blend of capability and insight, all of which was built up within a digital delivery environment. 

Johnathan Ward

From a background in both the construction and manufacturing industries, Johnathan has gained a detailed working knowledge of both the processes and workflow methodologies employed in achieving the optimum operational performance.

Callum Rudge

Callum is an Application Specialist within the Symetri construction team and is currently acting as a BIM coordinator over many schemes across the UK. He is also focusing on the new Autodesk Construction Cloud unified platform to support contractors on their digital journey. Callum is currently studying a level 3 in Construction technologies theory.

Ainsley Whyte

Ainsley has over 25 years’ experience in developing commercial software solutions and has a versatile set of skills and knowledge available to take a project from planning, through to final deployment. He currently provides bespoke solutions based on Autodesk products such as AutoCAD and Revit as well as working on solutions for the internal web-based systems.

Natalie Bacci

Natalie has both a First-Class BA Honours Degree in Interior Architecture and a Masters Degree in Architecture and Urbanism. She subsequently gained extensive industry experience across a variety of different disciplines working in Architectural Design, Interior Design, Urban Design and Geospatial Science. Natalie has managed and coordinated numerous high-profile projects for flagship clients including Buckingham Palace, the MOD, the FCO, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority as well as many other commercial, educational and civic projects. Natalie’s industry experience has equipped her with the technical knowledge, skills and expertise in the utilisation of a range of Autodesk applications including AutoCAD and Revit for Architecture. As a Consultant and Professional Certified Autodesk Instructor at Symetri, Natalie frequently consults with clients and delivers training on Autodesk Revit to a variety of multi-disciplined industry professionals.

Alan Johnson

Alan is an Autodesk Certified Instructor with over 9 years in software training. He has worked in and around the construction industry for over 25 years. Originally a drawing board trained draughtsman, then moved to AutoCAD in the mid 90’s, with experience as an architectural technician, a structural technician and even working in demolition. Alan now delivers training for Revit Structure, Revit Architecture, Revit Family Creation, and Navisworks.

Christian Georcelin

Christian comes to Symetri with various architectural specialist roles at esteemed organisations. Formerly at Grimshaw architects, his extensive experience in Computational Design coupled with BIM allows him to assume the responsibilities of assessing complex project design goals. Natural leadership and strategic planning capabilities permit him to effectively integrate the right mix of technology, processes and training to address an organisation’s unique needs. Christian understands that maintaining a long-term, successful BIM strategy requires the dedicated support of a partner to stay current on technology, troubleshoot issues and look for additional opportunities to leverage computational design.

Craig Schonborn

Craig is a part of the Client Success Team. His responsibilities include overseeing client strategy during pre-sales and maintaining strong relationships. Craig’s experience includes BIM Management for the Architecture solutions team, overseeing the BIM management and coordination process, providing technical support, and managing the model exchange for various Symetri clients. Before joining Symetri, Craig was a BIM Manager at SOM, supporting projects such as Karlastaden Tower Gothenburg, Manhattan Loft Garden, and Green Peninsula Upper Riverside, as well as BIM Coordinator at Pascall + Watson, including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted & Istanbul airports.

Daniel Giddins

Daniel is a Consultant in the AEC sector with a background in Architecture. He has previously held roles in Technical Design and Detailing, BIM Coordination and Sustainability. Daniel can effectively integrate the right mix of technology, processes and training to address an organisation’s unique needs. He understands that maintaining a long-term, successful BIM strategy requires the dedicated support of a partner to be ahead of the curve on current technology, troubleshooting issues and looking for additional opportunities to leverage BIM.

Darren Murphy

Darren is a Principal Consultant and Project Manager at Symetri, overseeing project delivery while implementing and enforcing workflows that help streamline strategies and processes for clients in the UK and globally. Darren trained and worked as an Architectural Technologist prior to taking the position of Practice BIM Lead at Farrells. There he lead BIM implementation and digital delivery of projects, including the award-nominated Royal Albert Dock project and other large scale projects in the UK, Asia and the Middle East. Darren oversees the delivery of many of our key projects. He combines this knowledge with his experience in the implementation of ISO 19650, delivering complex BIM projects and his managerial skills to support Symetri customers in the most efficient and practical way.

Joe Clark

Formerly a BIM Coordinator and Architectural Technician at MEPK Architects, having various architectural roles at esteemed organisations. His extensive experience in AutoCAD and Revit coupled with his project management skills allow him to assume the responsibilities of assessing business goals. Natural leadership and strategic planning capabilities permit him to effectively integrate the right mix of technology, processes, and training to address an organisation’s unique needs. Joe understands that maintaining a long-term, successful BIM strategy requires the dedicated support of a partner to stay current on technology, troubleshoot issues and look for additional opportunities to leverage BIM. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology from the University of Brighton.

Martin Couling

Martin provides BIM assurance and consulting, support, training and advisory services to a variety of Symetri clients globally. He implements ISO 19650 training, with a particular focus on practicality, and can bespoke a deliverable review process for any BIM project or client.​ Before joining Symetri, Martin implemented client BIM requirements on a large-scale National Programme for the UK government, assessing and delivering multiple BIM projects across the UK isles to align to the standardised programme strategy. Alongside this he has implemented automated BIM Health & Safety solutions, coordinated varied CAFM / CDE software to ensure harmony between the systems and provided clients with tried and trusted advice on anything BIM.

Morgan Blackmore-Dark

Morgan is a Senior Consultant at Symetri providing Information Management, BIM Management and Coordination services, training, software implementation and consulting services to our clients. He assists in Revit content creation, workflow implementation and visualisation for various types of projects. Additionally, he has offered BIM model development on large building projects to help seek solutions to challenges throughout the lifecycle of a building. Morgan holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Construction Project Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Technology and the Environment from University of Plymouth.

Lukasz Adamik

Lukasz has over 15 years of experience working with a variety of clients from Architects, Engineers, Main and Specialist Contractors, Owners and Facility Managers. Throughout his career, he transitioned various businesses from traditional CAD mindset to BIM by developing their strategies, educating and coaching, and developing automation tools for a variety of sectors. Lukasz brings his technical knowledge and experience with his responsibility for delivering innovative and smart solutions. He aims to build strong and trusted partnerships with Symetri clients and support the Symetri team in delivering elegant solutions. Lukasz holds a Master of Science in Environment Engineering and Land Surveying from the University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

David Amaya-Gonzalez

David is a BIM Solution Specialist at Symetri providing technical support, training, BIM assurance and consulting services. His extensive experience in Digital transformation, BIM Management, Design Automation, Visual Programming Language and Extended Reality Technologies coupled with his project management skills allow him to assume the responsibilities of assessing business goals. David is a technology driven and problem solve Consultant who can work within a CDE environment, create design automation applications/workflows, managing and coordinating a federated model, running clash detection reports and managing companies BIM standards. Natural leadership and strategic planning capabilities permit him to effectively integrate the right mix of technology, processes, and training to address an organization’s unique needs.

Logan Burke

At Symetri, Logan is responsible for providing project specific consulting, training, information management, support and implementation services to a variety of our architectural, civil, structural and construction clients.​ Prior to joining Symetri, Logan was a BIM Coordinator at John Sisk and Son (SISK Group) where he coordinated production and performance of clash detection for tender and construction-stage BIM modelling processes. Prior to this, Logan fulfilled a number of on-site roles. He is proficient in a range of applications including Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 3D- scanning, LIDAR and BIM 360.

Florin Ghimici

Florin is a Consultant at Symetri providing Information Management, BIM Management and Coordination services, training, software implementation and consulting services to our clients. He assists in Revit content creation, workflow implementation, coordination and visualisation for various types of projects. Additionally, he has offered BIM model development on large building projects to help seek solutions to challenges throughout the lifecycle of a building.​

George McFaulds

George joins Symetri as a Senior BIM / VDC Consultant who has over 10 years of experience of challenging the AEC industries to work smarter by implementing the latest innovative digital technologies by working with design consultants, specialist MEP and main contractors. Primarily with a background in BIM coordination and Information Management whilst continually identifying and implementing supporting digital technologies to assist in streamlining the design, coordination, and delivery of construction projects across the UK. Most notably, transforming a specialist contractor from traditional CAD mindset to BIM by developing their workflows and procedures. As well as taking a lead role in the implementation of the latest clash detection management platforms, data analytical reporting, construction sequenced visualisations and reality capture workflows including laser scanning and drone technology in his recent post. George holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Architectural Technology from the University of the Highlands & Islands.

Massimiliano Pinter

Max is providing consulting, training, advising and implementation services. His strong technical knowledge of BIM and digital tools, combined with his multi-disciplinary approach to design and project management skills, allow him to integrate digital technologies to solve design challenges and meet the customer’s goals, delivering efficient solutions as well as maximising automation and collaboration. Prior to joining Symetri, Max had various BIM related roles at multi-disciplinary firms, structural engineering consultancies, as well as prefabricated house manufacturers. He has a range of experience working on multi-million-pound schemes using both traditional construction technologies and off-site systems, within the residential, education, healthcare and hotel sectors.

Cristina Carcanescu

Cristina is a Consultant at Symetri providing Information Management, BIM Management and Coordination services, training, software implementation and consulting services to our clients. She graduated from Sheffield School of Architecture, completing both her BA Hons in Architecture and MArch: Collaborative Practice, and consequently gaining extensive experience at renowned practices. Additionally, she has offered BIM model development on large building projects to help seek solutions to challenges throughout the lifecycle of a building. At Symetri, Cristina assists with Revit content creation, workflow implementation, coordination and visualisation for various types of projects. Her knowledge of construction industry and digital technologies supported by her natural strategic planning, leadership and collaboration skills make Cristina a strong consultant our customers can rely on.

Kris Skibniewski

Kris provides technical support, training, mentoring, software implementation and consulting services. He gained experience working on historic buildings, luxury boutiques and high-end developments as a technical architect and CAD / BIM manager. He is a qualified architect in Poland and Great Britain with extensive professional experience. At Symetri, Kris supports a wide range of architects and engineers by providing consulting, advisory and hands-on services for standards development, training and information management services. His knowledge of the construction industry and digital technologies, backed by his natural strategic planning, leadership and collaboration skills, make Kris a strong consultant that our clients can rely on.

Sumaia Abdirashid

Sumaia is a Consultant in the AEC sector with a background in Sustainable Architecture and she has been in the Architectural industry for 5 years. Sumaia has gained vast experience in projects ranging from residential, mixed use, commercial, hospitality, pharmaceutical/labs and health care. Her knowledge of Revit and BIM360 has made her an expert in providing consulting and training services for individuals and companies to enable them in the delivery of BIM projects.
